In 2022, Vicki retired after a rewarding 30 year career of civil service with Nevada local government agencies. She served her community in many roles including field scientist, chemist, business analyst, and manager.
During her 30-year career, Vicki led several transformational technology projects and formalized agency-wide programs. Vicki's reputation as a problem solver, innovator, and strategic thinker enabled her to accumulate extremely diverse experiences. One of her favorite achievements was receiving approval to standardize the organization's compliance with the America's Water Infrastructure Act of 2018 (AWIA) by developing a structured and collaborative security and emergency preparedness program.
Vicki's passion for people, processes, and continuing education made her the perfect fit for developing a technical training program designed to lesson the impact of the pending water industry silver tsunami. She also establish a utility-specific succession planning program to assure critical institutional knowledge was passed to the next generation of leaders.
One month after retirement, Vicki accepted a position as the VP of Utility & Facility Services at Herndon Solutions Group. She joined the firm to expand support for community water systems across the nation. Within the first two months, Vicki's role at the firm quickly evolved to include serving as a member of the Executive Leadership Team and as a Director supporting NASA Headquarters on the firm's NASA Environmental and Medical Contract (NEMCON).
Vicki's community focused mentality instilled an obligation to share her experiences, expertise, and proven processes with other local, state, and federal leaders. Vicki is excited to support and empower public and private sectors leaders to achieve goals, support mission success, and elevate their teams performance with services that are undeniably "built different".
